Even castaways need the occasional
diversion. At Playa Blanca you can plan a little adventure every single
day... serious adventures, ones you will want to write home about.
You can explore a Mayan ruin, kayak a secluded lagoon, snorkel a hidden
reef, watch turtles nest on the beach... even go fly fishing for bonefish.Or... you could choose to do absolutely nothing at all. Opportunities for "nothing" abound. You could simply gaze at the transparent turquoise waters. Let the trade winds blow through your hair. Lounge in a hammock. Marvel at the empty white sand beaches. Or, just lean back and sip a cool, refreshing tropical drink. Playa Blanca is located on a small private island 120 miles south of Cancun, Mexico on the Yucatan's Caribbean coast. It also happens to be in the center of one of the world's largest protected wild areas... the Sian Ka'an, Biosphere Reserve, a pristine reserve covering over 1.3 million acres. The hotel's aircraft provides convenient service from Cancun to Playa Blanca. Untouched, white sand beaches lined with coconut palms, stretch as far as the eye can see. The climate is wonderful year round. From November through June, the days are dry with an average midday temperature of 88 F. The main recreation at Playa Blanca
revolves around its extraordinary beaches and beautiful Caribbean waters.
Guests can choose from guided and unguided excursions.
Available Activities: Services Available: Our single & duplex cabanas
overlook the beach. The rooms are decorated in white with bright Caribbean
accents. Rooms have private verandas, large baths, and ceiling fans. Each
room is different and may be reserved by room number. The same great boats used at Casa Blanca are used at Playa Blanca. Playa Blanca guides are expert fishermen for the Espiritu Santo Bay & Laguna Santa Rosa areas. All species, bonefish, permit, tarpon, snook, snapper, etc. are found at Playa Blanca. Anglers sacrifice nothing when they fish Playa Blanca.
Playa Blanca has no neighbors, so there is just tropical paradise as far as the eye can see...blue sky, white sand and turquoise water. More importantly, you have the time to enjoy...the time to linger...the time to reflect...to completely renew yourself. But, if you have an urge to mix with other castaways, the hotel's bar and restaurant provide the perfect spot to mingle and talk about all the things you did (or did not do) each day. As you might expect, the chef's specialty is fresh seafood - straight from the ocean to your table - simply and skillfully prepared.
The island of Punta Pajaros offers
many different adventure activities for people of all skill levels. Miles
of jungle road wind through palm trees. Take a cruiser bike and peddle
through the jungle, along the shore, in search of your own private white
sand beach. Paddle a kayak through the crystal clear Caribbean waters.
Or venture back into the mangrove waterways to try and find Tupac, one
of the two Mayan ruins only accessible from our destination. And don't
forget to bring your rod...resident juvenile tarpon provide great sport
from a kayak or a canoe. There is no better snorkeling offered anywhere.
Punta Pajaros in situated along the world's second largest reef, Palancar
Reef. The Reef provides protection from the open sea, creating calm, clear
waters exploding with life. Bird watching opportunities are exceptional.
Countless numbers of birds native to the Sian Ka'an and the occasional
Jabiru Stork sighting turns everyone into "birdwatchers". You
just never know what you might see. |
