Bolivia / Paraguay
The Gran Chaco area east of the snow covered
peaks of the Andes, was regarded as the sacred hunting ground for the
rulers of the Inca empire a long time before the Spanish conquistadors
has any ideas about chasing El Dorado. For the Incas living in the cold
and windy environment of the high Andes, Chaco meant the place you go
to gather game; for the conquistadors was only known as terra incognito.
From early April until
the beginning of December, the flat farmlands of the state of Santa Cruz,
are home to the largest concentration of droves in South America.
Doves, known here as Totaki provide a strong and sporting challenge as
they fly over the wind breakers in search of food and water in the shrubby
Chaco.

Africa
I came to East Africa in 1993 to live
and work as a guide on Mt. Kilimanjaro. Having spent the previous few years
guiding mountain climbers while based from Seattle, I welcomed the opportunity
to come back to East Africa. I had been there twice before and had found
the region's peoples, wildlife and wilderness impossible to forget - utterly
fascinating, beguilingly fresh. Taken by life in East Africa, I began to
urge my friends and family to come visit. In between working as a guide
and amongst other pursuits. I took these friends and relatives on safari.

Scotland/United Kingdom
Experience the romance and adventure
of a driven pheasant hunt in Scotland. Driven shooting is a very exclusive,
well-organized shoot, usually held on a private estate, where pheasant
or partridge are driven by beaters over a line of shooters. Considered
the "sport of kings," this type of shoot is very private and
expensive. Along with Scotland, the
best destinations for a driven shoot are England and Spain. The season
generally runs from mid-July to late September. England
is justifiably renowned for the range and quality of its bird shooting
opportunities. Like Scotland, England offers both rough and driven shoots.
Driven shooting is a big sport in this country. Whether you prefer
sporty grouse, hard-flying partridges, or swift, high-flying pheasants,
The Corporate Sportsman can arrange superb driven shooting to challenge
the most experienced enthusiast.
